T E C Industrial Names Schmidt Vice-President of Operations

T E C Industrial Chief Operating Officer Tony Calderone is pleased to announce the appointment of Adam Schmidt to the Position of Vice President of Operations at the company. Schmidt assumes the role following an outstanding career overseeing both corporate and field operations, constructing large capital programs in the chemicals, power, and industrial sectors with a combined 22 million manhours annually. His process industrial background includes 24+ years of experience and over that period assumed increasing levels of responsibility commencing with project controls, outage & turnaround management, field construction, construction operations, large capital construction management, EPC Project Director managing work forces exceeding 3,700 personnel, and ultimately VP of Corporate Construction Execution for a large fully integrated industrial EPC organization delivering projects throughout the Mid-Atlantic, Southeastern, and Southwest Regions of the United States with annual TIC values exceeding $5 billion while achieving outstanding safety records.

According to Calderone, “We are very excited that Adam has chosen to join our organization.  He is an expert on construction execution from project inception, through FEED, precise cost estimating and engineering, and ultimately construction delivery through commissioning.
At T E C Industrial, he will be responsible for improving our work processes across the board and continuing our implementation of Advanced Work Package (AWP) concepts on our projects to improve productivity and achieve excellence by leveraging Best Practices on every program we undertake for our clients.”

Schmidt is a 2001 graduate of Texas A&M University, served in the Texas National Guard, and has completed numerous continuing education courses of study and achieved a variety of construction-related certifications. He and his family are relocating to the Kingsport area with him based at T E C Industrial’s main office in Kingsport.
