Adam Schmidt

VP of Operations

Adam Schmidt serves T E C Industrial as Vice President of Operations. Schmidt assumed the role in 2025 following an outstanding career at a large Gulf Coast based services company where he oversaw both corporate and field operations constructing large capital programs in the chemicals, power, and industrial sectors with a combined 22 million manhours annually. His process industrial background includes 24+ years of experience and having assumed increasing levels of responsibility commencing with project controls, outage & turnaround management, field construction, construction operations, large capital construction management, EPC Project Director managing work forces exceeding 3,700 personnel, and ultimately VP of Corporate Construction Execution for that large fully integrated industrial EPC organization delivering projects throughout the Mid-Atlantic, Southeastern, and Southwest Regions of the United States with annual TIC values exceeding $5 billion with outstanding safety records. At T E C Industrial he leads the company’s Safety, Quality, Project Controls, Training, Estimating, Preconstruction, Procurement, and Material Management Groups. He is a graduate of Texas A&M University, and is based in the company’s Kingsport, TN Office.

Greg Boehling

Director of Strategic Initiatives

Greg serves the organization as Director of Strategic Initiatives having recently transitioned into the role following 18 years as CEO where he led the company’s growth from a single discipline electrical contractor to a full service, self-perform construction, maintenance and operations support services company that has a world class safety recorded having recorded over 22 million consecutive safe work hours and multiple Tennessee Governor’s Awards for Workplace Safety.. He has enjoyed a distinguished 37-year career in the Engineering and Construction Industry where he advanced within the structures of some of the largest EPC firms in the country and ultimately lead the acquisition of T E C Industrial Maintenance and Construction (formerly known as Tennessee Electric Company) in 2007.  He continues to be very active in the local community supporting the United Way of Greater Kingsport among other philanthropic organizations, and in 2016 was selected for the Junior Achievement of Tri-Cities Business Hall of Fame.  Greg will continue to provide consulting support to T E C Industrial and its strategic clients prior to entering full retirement at the end of 2025.

John Sacht

President & CEO

John will have overall responsibility for the performance of T E C Industrial and leads the Company as it continues its role to provide world class construction, maintenance and operations support services in the complex process, power, pulp and paper and advanced manufacturing sectors. Previously as the Company’s CFO, John was responsible for all financial and risk management operations at T E C Industrial as well as various support departments including accounting, human resources, and information technology.  Prior to joining T E C Industrial in 2014, he served in a variety of key financial and operational positions ranging from Corporate Controller up to Division President in a multi-billion-dollar Engineering, Procurement, Construction, Site Services, and Maintenance Corporation. In addition to his role as CFO, John monitored and directed the implementation of T E C Industrial’s strategic business plan and helped to implement operations best practices. John holds both Undergraduate and Graduate Business Degrees from Augusta State and Queens Universities, respectively.

Tony Calderone

Sr. Vice President, COO

Tony is a highly versatile executive leader at T E C Industrial. With over four decades of experience, his background in integrated project delivery on complex industrial projects safely, on time, and within budget provides our clients and their projects with the benefit of his perspective for the extent of the respective expansion program. His responsibilities at T E C Industrial include Project Management, Site Operations, Safety, Quality, Estimating, Preconstruction and Procurement. His knowledge of the process industries allows him to apply lessons learned to every project from planning up to commissioning and start-up. Prior to joining T E C Industrial, Tony served in leadership positions with some of the country’s largest EPC organizations, and a number of projects with which he had direct engagement and/or responsibility were recipients of the American Building Council’s (ABC) best-in-class recognition.

Tony Calderone

With four decades of experience, his background in integrated project delivery on complex industrial projects safely, on time, and within budget provides our clients and their projects with the benefit of his perspective for the extent of the respective expansion program. His responsibilities at T E C Industrial include Safety, Quality, Estimating, Preconstruction and Procurement; and his knowledge of the process industries allows him to apply lessons learned to every project from planning up to commissioning and start-up. Prior to joining T E C Industrial, he served in leadership positions with several of the country’s deepest EPC organizations, and a number of projects with which he had direct engagement and/or responsibility were recipients of American Building Council (ABC) best-in-class recognition.

Tucker Maloney

VP, Business Development

Tucker leads T E C Industrial’s sale and marketing group. His background includes over three decades of engineering, procurement, and construction, and maintenance experience serving clients throughout the United States, Europe, Asia, and South America. His entire career has been focused on the industrial manufacturing markets. Previous to T E C Industrial, he worked in Business Development for a large multi-national EPCM corporation where he secured professional services contracts in the advanced materials, chemicals, food & beverage, pharmaceutical, pulp & paper, process chemicals, and semi-conductor sectors. He is well-versed on construction contracting, strategic planning and pursuit principles, and client relations. He is a graduate of the Virginia Military Institute, as well as the United States Army Ordnance Officer Maintenance Management Basic Course.
