Steven brings over 15 years of construction industry experience to this Kingsport, TN based position. A graduate of Western Michigan University, he has previously worked for some of the largest process industry EPC Contractors in the business supporting both critical overseas and domestic private sector and federal capital programs in the chemicals and energy sectors. He is skilled in Projects Controls and Earned Value Management, Planning & Scheduling, Change Management, Cost Forecasting, Progress Tracking, and Financial Analysis.

Kelly joined T E C earlier this year to assist with Proposal and Bid Development. Prior to then she worked in a variety of strategic sourcing positions supporting large scale capital programs. In her new role, she will report directly to Chief Operations Officer Aaron Jordan.
Jones holds a BS in Business Administration from the University of Virginia’s College at Wise and brings excellent experience with contract negotiation, risk management, expediting, and vendor (s) identification/qualification and award. Having successfully completed numerous supply chain and contracting courses in the past herself, she will also provide guidance and recommendations to the company’s executive management team with respect to future training and development programs for our other corporate and project level personnel.
Pending the naming of a successor, she will continue to provide support to Business Development Activities.

As General Contractor, T E C Industrial was pleased to participate recently at our client’s opening ceremony for their newly constructed Versatile Automated Gamma Assay System (VAGAS) building in Erwin, TN. The custom-designed 2,400 square foot structure replaces an 18-year-old system with a permanent and more robust facility. The VAGAS building will house Non-Destructive Assay (NDA) equipment used for performing nuclear measurements on waste containers.. The building was designed with safety in mind including one-way vehicle traffic, designated control room, and a carbon monoxide detection system.
Construction of the VAGAS building started in January of 2019. NDA equipment installation was completed during the first quarter of 2020. The facility was completed with no injuries, on schedule, and within budget.

Mr. Maloney is an experienced business development veteran, served as a Captain in the US Army Reserve, and with 32 years in the engineering and construction industry has been actively engaged with a variety of regional and national professional industrial and economic development groups and societies.
He is a graduate of the Virginia Military Institute and has served in business development roles primarily with the former Lockwood Greene and Fluor Corporation. Mr. Maloney’s experience and knowledge of the total project delivery cycle from front end engineering through construction and commissioning adds to T E C Industrial’s expertise and ability to understand and solve our clients complex project lifecycle challenges. His background in developing solutions for client’s maintenance and operational support needs enhances the company’s extensive background in these areas as well.
In his role Mr. Maloney will work with existing customers to ensure TEC Industrial’s client satisfaction by engaging their continuous improvement feedback while identifying future needs and developing best value offerings and solutions. He will also lead efforts to expand our client base through a targeted process that matches the company’s capabilities to potential customer needs. He will be based in T E C Industrial’s Greenville, SC office while serving our clients throughout the United States.

T E C Industrial has been awarded two major construction contracts from BAE Systems at the Holston Army Ammunition Plant (HSAAP). The two projects task T E C Industrial with constructing a new Fluid Energy Mill (FEM) process facility and a Recrystallization and Slurry Coating Formulation facility. BAE Systems has been the operating contractor of the HSAAP since 1999 and is managing a previously announced multi-year expansion program at the site.
As the prime contractor for the projects, T E C Industrial will perform much of the work with its own direct hire workforce in the region. In addition, the company plans to utilize numerous specialty subcontractors from the local area to support construction of the project. Work on the projects will continue into 2021.

T E C Industrial’s management staff, self-perform crews and our partnered subcontractors are continuing to make great progress on this brownfield acid concentration plant in Kingsport, TN.
In spite of weather challenges this project is on schedule and budget. Crews have installed over 1330 tons of structural steel, 2700 yards of concrete foundations and are underway in installing process equipment, piping and electrical systems.
